.I grew up on a farm in the Piedmont area of
North Carolina. I have been involved in a long-term marriage and have raised two daughters.
I enjoy individual counseling and psychotherapy with adults addressing a wide variety of issues.I have worked with many individuals who are highly talented and gifted but have been impacted by life’s events, and/or struggle with personal and career direction.
Currently, I am doing a good deal of work with couples and with relationship issues.I enjoy this counseling very much.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with a number of psychiatrists and I have a sense of the psychological/psychiatric interface and the possibilities (including the use of medication) which are available with each.
I believe in doing a thorough assessment of the situation psychologically, interpersonally, and physiologically and then taking a strength based, results oriented approach.
